Baby Skin Allergy

The whitish spots may appear in certain baby body parts and even the whole body. Parents must consider whether the skin problems in babies is an early symptom of an allergy to cow's milk or not. If necessary consult your baby to the doctor. If it is really an early symptom of milk allergy it should be replaced with non-allergenic milk or replace it with exclusive breastfeeding.

But in some cases these spots also appear in infants who are breastfed exclusively. When the cause is exclusive breastfeeding, the doctor usually will help finding the cause of the allergy and advised the mother to avoid the intake of certain foods.

Foods the mother consumed that could cause allergies in infants include:

  • cow's milk
  • peanuts
  • Seafood
  • egg

Some of the symptoms associated with allergies in infants:

  • Disorders of the digestive tract, such as: frequent vomiting, hiccups, fart, cranky, restless, frequent bowel movements or difficult bowel movements, protruding navel, white patches on the tongue, excessive salivation, dry lips.
  • Wheezing sound like a person snoring, and sometimes a cough at night
  • Sensitive skin, reddish bumps appear like insect bites
  • excessive sweating
  • Elliptical head because often skewed due to disturbed sleep because of sneezing and runny nose and restless
  • Overweight because of frequent drinking
  • Frequent crying due to stomach discomfort, nipple biting, choking when drinking milk.
